Since having surgery to restore her charred face, Ava is as good as new, physically. The question is, Will she revert back to her old sinful self on General Hospital (GH)?
Ava (Maura West) firmly believes she changed after the fire that left her hideously scarred and stole her outward beauty. Granted, she did do one major good deed: helping Jason (Steve Burton) escape from that St. Petersburg clinic and return home to Port Charles.
But, one right doesn’t undo the vixen’s dozen wrongs–particularly when two of those wrongs are murder. Namely, killing Connie in cold blood and setting Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) untimely death into motion.
Changing Her Spots
They say a leopard doesn’t change their spots, which doesn’t bode well for Ava. Bad deeds are synonymous with who she is. As a member of the Jerome crime family, all she’s ever known is plotting and manipulating to get what she wants.
Now that she’s no longer preoccupied with her scarred face, she’s bound to crave the intensity and excitement of her old life, which means reverting back her cold, calculating, law-breaking old self.
Beauty and the Bore
Griffin (Matt Cohen) is the man responsible for helping Ava return to the land of the living after her injuries. The former priest made her believe there was good inside her, a good he was attracted to, and they became lovers. Desperate to feel wanted, she dashed into a relationship with him.
That needy insecure Ava is now gone, and she’s bound to realize she and good guy Griffin have nothing in common. And, frankly, he’s a bore compared to her past lovers like, Franco (Roger Howarth), Morgan, Sonny (Maurice Benard), and Paul (Richard Burgi). It’s just a matter of time before she breaks his heart.
Settling Scores
Ava has a lot of unfinished business to take care of now that she’s whole again. At the top of that list is getting even with Sonny and Carly (Laura Wright) for keeping Avery away from her and regaining custody.
Knowing Ava, she’ll resort to whatever unscrupulous means necessary to make it happen. Plus, now that she has Nelle (Chloe Lanier) in her employ, she could find a way to use her to do her bidding. Either way, the worst is likely yet to come.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
