Ashton Arbab Says Goodbye To General Hospital

Poor Dev died this week on General Hospital after The Floating Rib exploded. His friends are sure going to miss him, even if they weren’t very happy with him of late. And GH fans are sure going to miss Ashton Arbab, the actor who played the Turkish teen for nearly two years.

Ashton Arbab Gives Thanks

It was such an honor to have worked alongside of such talented actors and I’m beyond blessed for your friendship. Most of all thank you @GeneralHospital Fans!” Arbab tweeted along with several photos of him on the set.

Dev was first introduced to GH viewers in early 2019 when Sonny (Maurice Benard) took a trip to Turkey to track down Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), his missing son who was on a mission with the WSB. Street kid Dev helped him out and when Dev turned up in Port Charles a few months later, Sonny returned the favor.

He gave Dev an identity as his long-lost cousin to avoid immigration authorities and took the boy into his home. Dev was a comfort to Josslyn (Eden McCoy) as she had just lost Oscar, so it was nice to have another teen in the house.

Dev eventually became part of the teen scene and Trina (Sydney Mikayla) developed a crush on him. He turned her down and we weren’t really sure why as he soon pushed Josslyn away after she kissed him. It also seemed the GH wasn’t sure what to do with the character as he became manipulative of late and was just as suddenly killed off this week.
