The original Emily Bowen Quartermaine has some amazing news to share with fans. Amber Tamblyn is going to be a mom.
Tamblyn, who got her TV start as Little Orphan Emily on General Hospital back in 1995 and played the part until 2001, announced in a Glamour Magazine article that she’s expecting a baby girl.
This is the first child for the 33-year-old-actress and husband David Cross. Tamblyn’s name has been in the media of late for an Instagram post a few weeks ago in which she described being sexually assaulted as a young adult.
Tamblyn comes from a show biz pedigree, as her father is Broadway star, Russ Tamblyn of West Side Story and Twin Peaks fame. The younger Tamblyn also made her name in comedy during two seasons of the sitcom Two and a Half Men but of course many still remember her for her breakout dramatic primetime role in (and as) Joan of Arcadia.
GH fans will always remember her as the little girl who captured the Quartermaines’ heart and was then adopted by Alan and Monica.
GH airs weekdays on ABC. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. Win exclusive member-only General Hospital prizes, and more: sign up here!
