Age-Less…Or More? Should Emma and Spencer Catch Up To Joss and Cam on General Hospital (GH)?

These General Hospital (GH) babies were born roughly around the same time:

* Cameron Spencer: 2004
* Spencer Cassadine: 2006
* Emma Scorpio-Drake: 2008
* Josslyn Jacks: 2009

Yet, these days, Joss is played by 15-year-old Eden McCoy, and Cameron has just been recast with a teen Cade McWatt (after half a decade of him seeming to be stuck in tween land).

Yet, last time we saw Emma, she was still 12-year-old Brooklyn Rae Silzer, and Spencer went off to Europe with Laura (Genie Francis) as 13-year-old Nicholas Bechtel.

Granted, the young actors are extremely popular, but is it time to age Emma and Spencer so they can mix it up with Joss and the newly more mature Cam? Here’s how almost 12,000 proud almost-parents feel!

It’s about time, 70% of you insist. Here’s the thing about soap opera teens scenes – summer and otherwise – they only work if the viewers care about the kids involved. And the best way to make that happen is to connect them to adults you already care about.

Viewers were there when Joss was born, they watched throughout her kidney transplant trauma, and they know her mom, Carly (Laura Wright), for better or for worse.

The Powers That Be tried to connect Oscar (Garren Stitt) to the canvas by making him Drew’s (Billy Miller) long-lost son, and casting another former Carly, Tamra Braun, to play his mom. But he’s still a virtual stranger to you.

Emma and Spencer wouldn’t be.

Nooooooo, 29% counter. Spencer is barely bearable now, with his strange way of speaking and precocious mannerisms. As a teen, he’d be a complete freak.

As for Emma, her mom, Robin (Kimberly McCullough) grew up in real time on the show, that’s why you’re so invested in her. Please give Emma the same opportunity!
