Entertainment News: Empire Ending Revamped

Empire will wrap up its last season early due to the coronavirus. The show’s finale has been scrapped and there will be a different ending than originally planned. Meanwhile, as Empire draws to a close Taraji P. Henson is looking back at her unforgettable character, Cookie Lyon.

Elliot Stabler Returns
Former Law & Order: SVU star Chris Meloni is set to resurrect his memorable character, Det. Elliot Stabler, in a new NBC series from Dick Wolf. Meloni’s former co-star, Mariska Hargitay, was one of the first to send him a special message after learning of the news.

The Nanny Reunion
The cast of The Nanny is gathering for a table read of the defunct sitcom, courtesy of Zoom since they can’t be face-to-face due to the coronavirus. The reunion will be posted on the Sony Pictures YouTube page on Monday, April 6.

Entertainment News: Will, Grace, and Lucy
Before wrapping up their revival run of Will & Grace, the show will be paying tribute to another sitcom. Think Will, Grace, and legendary redhead Lucille Ball.

Another Kennedy Tragedy
Robert F. Kennedy’s granddaughter and her 8-year-old son went missing during a canoe trip on the Chesapeake Bay. Maryland authorities revealed the news on Thursday.

Jen’s Soap Secret
Jennifer Aniston, almost a soap opera star? While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the former Friends actress shared a story about auditioning for Search for Tomorrow decades ago and finding the Betamax tape that proves it.

Joy and Heartache
It was a week of joy and heartache for actress Rachel Bloom. The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star and her husband, Dan Gregor, welcomed their first child, but also mourned the loss of Bloom’s writing partner, Adam Schlesinger, who passed away from COVID-19.

Stay Home
Ellen Pompeo, best known as Grey’s Anatomy’s Dr. Meredith Grey, made an impassioned plea to her fans and the nation. The actress implored everyone to stay home as we battle the coronavirus.

Tragic Deaths

COVID-19 claimed another actor. Andrew Jack, who played Major and then General Ematt in Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Episode VIII — The Last Jedi, passed away at the age of 76.

There’s also devastating news from The Flash. Grant Gustin, who has starred in the title role since 2014, revealed that 16-year-old actor, Logan Williams, who played his character as a teenager, has died.

Tragic Accident
Former Bachelor contestant and Bachelor in Paradise star Michelle Money asked for everyone’s prayers for her daughter Brielle. The teenager was in a serious skateboarding accident and is in the ICU on life support.
