This Is Us is chock-full of emotional and tear-jerking moments, but one of the truly beautiful storylines during Season 3 was Tess Pearson (Eris Baker) coming out to her parents, Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson).

In this flashback video, Tess garners the courage to open up to her parents about her sexuality, and, as expected, it’s an emotional yet beautiful family moment.
