The Big Bang Theory continues to give viewers lots of laughs, great memories, and credibility to nerds and comic geeks. Sadly, the show will come to a close when its series finale airs in May.
Here are five things we’d like to see Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parson), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Howard (Simon Helberg), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Amy (Amy Farrah Fowler), Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), and Stuart (Kevin Sussman) experience in the finale!
1) Raj’s Wedding
A wedding would bring back fan faves, enabling us to see them once more and a Raj/Anu (Rati Gupta) union would give the duo a happy ending. Remember when the awkward astrophysicist couldn’t even say hi to Penny?
2) Penny’s Last Name
Sure, Penny’s surname is Hofstadter now that she and Leonard are married, but we’ve never learned what her maiden handle was. In fact, we predict that producers will definitely let us in on what Penny’s last name is before the show ends. Bazinga!
3) A Working Elevator
We learned in The Staircase Implementation how the elevator came to be broken. Its lack of function has been worked into many scripts. Might the elevator get fixed for the finale? A working lift would be handy to transport strollers should the apartment inhabitants become parents!
4) A Tribute to Howard’s Mom
Carol Ann Susi voiced the role of Howard’s abrasive but loving mom, Debbie Wolowitz, until her death in 2014, which was written into the 2015 episode, The Comic Book Store Regeneration. Perhaps viewers could get to hear Debbie’s endearing “HOWARD!” one more time. (Or for that matter, maybe Howard could finally meet his dad, Sam?)
5) One More Season
Okay, this is too much to hope for. Viewers simply don’t want this show to end. Fortunately, there’s Young Sheldon, which stars Iain Armitage as Sheldon when he was growing up in Texas.
The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
