Top Five Reasons We Miss Ygritte on Game of Thrones

There have been a lot of Game of Thrones characters who have come and gone, but there are a few who we still miss. Ygriette (Rose Leslie), who was a part of Mance Rayder’s army, is a character who we feel left too soon. Not only was she interesting, but she also had a great romance with Jon Snow (Kit Harington).

Though she hasn’t been on the show for a few seasons, here are the five reasons why we miss this wildling on Game of Thrones.

Bringing The Heat In Winter
Long before Jon had a relationship with Daenerys, his first love was Ygritte. They were star-crossed lovers, and they had incredible chemistry, which makes sense since Kit Harington and Rose Leslie were falling in love in real life and have since married!

Love Triangles Makes Things Interesting
If Ygritte was still alive, it would’ve been interesting to see how Jon handled his love for her and his attraction for Daenerys. Would he choose his wildling love or what was best for Westeros by pairing up with the Mother of Dragons? Another fact in Ygritte’s favor — she’s not his aunt! Bonus!

Multilayered and Unpredictable
Though Ygritte initially appeared to be super tough, she revealed she’s a woman with many feelings. She was heartbroken after Jon’s betrayal, and it hurt her even more to have to fight against him.

The Big War and the Last War
Ygritte is a fierce fighter and if she was still around, she’d be a great asset in the fight against Cersei Lannister. She would’ve also been helpful in fighting against the White Walkers.

Life Beyond the Wall
Though she seemed to like living with the wildlings beyond the wall, Ygritte could’ve had a great life in the North with Jon. It’s hard to not wonder what their lives would be like if she was still around.
