The Big Bang Theory is moving from Mondays to Thursdays at 8 p.m., ET–its regular slot–on November 2.
At that time, the CBS sitcom will pick up again with a fun episode guest starring Bob Newhart as Arthur Jeffries and Wil Wheaton as himself.
Arthur Jeffries, also known as the TV character Professor Proton, is no longer the children’s science show host Sheldon and Leonard once hired to entertain them.
As Proton put it, “There is no problem you can’t solve if you use your noggin’.”
So, as The Proton Regeneration progresses, we will learn that Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Wil Wheaton are hot to vie for the role of the new Professor Proton.
So who will win the coveted casting and get to officially be the object of the Professor Proton theme song: “Grab your goggles. Put your lab coat on. Here he comes, Professor Proton”?
Stay tuned for a rousing The Big Bang Theory episode when Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is also center stage.
According to CBS, she “steps in to take care of [little] Halley when Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) both wind up on bed rest.”
The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursday as of November 2 at 8 p.m., ET., on CBS.
