The Bachelorette’s Wells Adams Opens Up About His Crazy First Date With Sarah Hyland

It’s no secret that The Bachelorette’s Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland have one of the cutest relationships in Hollywood. The pair have been going strong for close to a year now, but the Bachelor Nation star is finally opening up about their first date!

It all happened a little over a year ago when the Bachelor in Paradise star was in Los Angeles for the Hero Dog Awards. It also happened to be the same weekend as the Emmy Awards, which of course means there were countless parties going on.

Though he had never met the Modern Family star up until that point, she decided to invite him to one of her industry parties.

“She didn’t tell me what it was, she was just like ‘Hey, I’ve got an industry party I’ve got to go to,’ so I was like ‘That’s cool, I’m going to this Hero Dog Awards, but when I’m done lets go get a drink.’ That was the thought,” he shared on his podcast called Your Favorite Things.

“She was like ‘I’m looking on my phone right now, there’s nothing really open in Beverly Hills, just come to this party I’m at, I’ve got a plus one.’ So I was like, ‘okay, whatever.'”
Turns out, the party Sarah was attending was a very exclusive party with a lot of famous people. Quite the first date!

“So yeah, our first date was at the night before the Emmys party and that party… 99.9% of the population doesn’t know that this party exists because there’s no press allowed, there’s no cameras allowed, it’s the night before, and it’s everybody. It’s everyone that’s on a TV show right now… except for reality TV shows,” Wells confessed.

“You have to remember, this is the first time I ever met Sarah. So then we walk in and we run into Johnny Galecki from Big Bang Theory, she’s like ‘Oh my god love how are you doing?’ He was like ‘my house just burned down’ and I started laughing. He was like ‘why are you laughing?’And I was like, ‘oh you’re being serious.'”

Though it was an intimidating first date, the couple has been inseparable ever since. Sarah even shared a sweet post last week in honor of her man.

“Here’s to the good men. The men that support us. The men that believe us. The ones who know right from wrong. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she wrote on Instagram.

Wow, that’s quite the first date! Well, it looks like it’s really worked out for the both of them.
