The Bachelor Host Chris Harrison Addresses Peter Weber Rumors

Pete the pilot’s goal on The Bachelor has been to chart his own personal course for love. Now, reports are surfacing that he’s found it, but not in a traditional way the ABC show goes about it.

Not every Bachelor or Bachelorette on the long-running reality dating/competition series finds love. In fact, many of the leads who propose marriage or accept a ring end up breaking things off later once the show has aired its finale.

Currently, Peter Weber, AKA Pilot Pete, is romancing several women contestants on the show hoping to find one with whom he can spend the rest of his life. Now, rumors are circulating that the lady he chooses isn’t a contestant at all, but she is someone who is involved with the show.

According to reports, producer Julie LaPlaca, who’s been recorded on social media in photos with Peter, is in a relationship with the handsome pilot. However, it’s literally her job to spend time with him and work with him as he tries to find love.

Chris Harrison Weighs In

Host Chris Harrison explained on Access that Julie is “an amazing, talented, smart producer that works for us — works on the show, so she’s with Peter. And she’s with all of us. It’s an intimate relationship. You spend that much time together we all get close. Sometimes, those lines get blurred.”

The Bachelor debuted in 2002. Currently, the show is in its 24th season. The show has had several spinoffs including The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise, and The Bachelor Winter Games.

On Monday, March 2, ABC will air The Bachelor: The Women Tell All in which contestants will reveal untold stories about what happened from their perspective. The finale of this season of The Bachelor will take place on Monday, March 9 and Tuesdays, March 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
