According to reports, Sean Milliken, who starred in the weight-loss journey series My 600-LB Life, has passed away at the age of 29.
TMZ reported the news, which they say was announced by Milliken’s dad, Matt, on his Facebook page.
Apparently, Milliken passed away this past Sunday. He was in the hospital due to complications from an infection.
“Sunday he was having problems with his breathing, they were able to resuscitate him and a short time later his heart stopped,” wrote Matt.
Sean had only appeared on one episode of the hit TV show on TLC in 2016, in which viewers learned he had actually weighed as much as 900 lbs. at one point. During his senior year of high school, he became bedridden after experiencing a leg injury. He already weighed 400 lbs. by that point.
Sean had bariatric surgery but still failed at his weight loss efforts. According to Blasting News, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan told off Sean’s enabler mother for causing his obesity in his opinion. Sean’s mother, Renee Milliken, died in 2017 shortly after Sean’s update aired.
Entertainment Hub sends condolences to Sean’s father, Matt, and his entire family.
