Paul Calafiore Says He “Didn’t Beg” Bachelor Ex Danielle Maltby To Unblock Him

Paul Calafiore is setting the record straight after his Bachelor star ex, Danielle Maltby, recently shared an Instagram post detailing their heartbreaking split.

In her post Danielle explained that she blocked Paul on social media after he cheated on her with The Challenge co-star Cara Maria.

Now Paulie is speaking out about the situation and says he never meant to cause her any pain.

“I had no idea I was blocked by Danielle until I received an email from her,” he told E! News.

“I didn’t beg to be unblocked, I asked why I was blocked when we could just talk like adults. If she wanted me to stop talking to her then all she had to do was tell me.”

Despite the fact that he cheated on Danielle, Paul and Cara Maria are in a happy relationship and seem to be going strong.

“Two hearts never break even, I am happy in my new relationship which started getting more serious while filming next season of The Challenge and I understand how hard that may be to witness,” he said.

“I’m not trying to get back with Danielle. I wish Danielle all the happiness in the world and I truly hope she is ok. She has a great support system and is [a] strong woman.”

This comes just a few days after the former reality star revealed she has spent months trying to get over him.

“I made a lot of excuses trying to rationalize his behavior and I wasn’t able to come to terms with the fact he was able to hurt me like this,” she said at the time.

“I believe I was shown the person he wants to be but something is holding him back from it. Somewhere in his mind though, he has made himself believe that it’s ok to continue to tell me he needs me, misses me, still loves me and wants to fix everything.”

She continued, “Some days are ok, some are really good and I had a great night last night, but today, my place is a mess and I can’t get out of bed and honestly, I just hurt. I’m working on it though.”
