Wife Swap is coming back. You might have come across this show in your early aughts TV watching. This program was based on the British series of the same name. Bravo announced a new reiteration of the series, which will feature your favorite from The Real Housewives franchise.
Coming Soon To Bravo
On Wednesday, May 7, Bravo announced four new shows coming to the network. One of those shows is Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition. It’s based on the original series, in which two families would swap wives or mothers for two weeks.
The new series will feature some of your favorites from The Real Housewives franchise. Bravo promises that this new show will have “laugh-out-loud moments” and “personal epiphanies.” It will have its share of humor and touching moments.

Look Back At Time
Sadly, there are no other details about the Bravo reboot. The original series aired on ABC for six seasons from 2004 to 2010. Reality television was a booming business in the early 2000s. Wife Swap became one of the biggest hit shows of ABC’s primetime lineup.
However, the network canceled the show to change its programming strategy. Paramount Network aired the show several years later, but the network wanted to focus on more films. The cancellation of Wife Swap and other reality shows made way for these new movies. It eventually went back to its roots, airing original series like Yellowstone.
Even though Wife Swap was a television juggernaut, it also faced its share of criticism. According to YouTube, some claimed the show misrepresented families from different classes or cultures. It’s unclear which Real Housewives castmates will star on the show and whether they’ll swap lives with average, everyday families. The show is expected to air soon.
