Ryan Seacrest left Live! in April 2023. It’s been two years since his departure. Since then, Kelly Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos took over Seacrest’s spot. Seacrest and Ripa were best friends on the show. Where does their friendship stand today?
Friendship Update
Seacrest shared an update on his friendship with Ripa. Despite living on opposite sides of the country, their friendship is still going strong. Seacrest had nothing but kind words to say about Live! He doesn’t mind looking back at his past. “I love that show,” he told E! News on Monday, April 28. He admitted that he “had a blast doing it.”
The American Idol host teased a return to Live! soon. But he will only attend as a guest. This moment will feature a “trifecta” of Live! hosts. “Mark and Kelly have invited me to come on in a couple of weeks. So, I will be there. The trifecta, we’ll be on the set,” Seacrest shared. “I can’t wait to see them.”
New Friends
In September 2024, Seacrest replaced Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune. He’s gotten comfortable with his new role. Seacrest films the game show at CBS Studios with co-host Vanna White.
The two have also become good friends, and fans love their camaraderie. Seacrest brought out White’s fun side, while she brought out his goofy side. Seacrest has taken his share of tumbles on the game show set. Yet, it hasn’t bruised his ego.
