Wheel of Fortune is undergoing significant changes in Season 43. Social Media Correspondent, Maggie Sajak, unveiled a shakeup to the giveaways. Plus, in a new social media post, she picked out her dress for the syndicated show’s premiere.
Fan Fridays
On Monday, September 8, Maggie Sajak gave fans a fashion show on Instagram. She chose between various dresses for the premiere of the new season. Sajak told fans that she wanted something that was “festive, light, and happy. So it can represent all the fun we’re going to have this season.”
Sajak held up a red halter-style dress with a scarf. Another option was a ribbed red dress with pockets. The third was a long-sleeve orange dress with a flower on the hip. Sajak settled for the orange option.
Then, she shared some “really exciting news” with fans. “You all know and love Fan Fridays, right?” Sajak teased. “We’re switching it up a little bit this year, and we’re going to be doing Fanday Funday.”
Fanday Fundays can happen on any day of the week. They pop up whenever. Fans will have no idea when to expect them, so they’ll have to tune in for details. The giveaway includes cash, prizes, vacations, and other prizes.
Year Of Fun
WoF watchers noticed something different about the classic wheel. Season 43 will also feature the new “Year of Fun” wedge, which offers bigger cash prizes, tournaments, and other ways to win. Both contestants and viewers can participate.
“A big part of the success we saw last season can be credited to these many wonderful moments, so we decided to embrace it and make ‘The Year of Fun’ the season 43 theme,” Bellamie Blackstone, Wheel of Fortune executive producer, announced in a press release.
Fans can also look forward to returning themes, such as “Secret Santa” and theme weeks honoring teachers, veterans, and more. Also, this season WoF will be streaming on Disney+, Hulu, and Peacock, starting September 9, the day after the premiere.
