It’s safe to say that Kristen Doute and Janet Caperna can’t see eye-to-eye. The two tried to make amends during the Season 2 premiere of The Valley. Where do they stand to this day?
Will They Ever Reconcile?
Season 2 premiered on Tuesday, April 15. It had a dramatic start, focusing on Jax Taylor’s separation from Brittany Cartwright, mental health issues, and substance abuse. It then followed up with the drama involving the couples and friends. Kristen wanted to have a clean slate in the first episode. She tried to make amends with Janet.
Once again, people took sides in their feud. On The Valley After Show, Janet sat with Michelle Lally and Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay. The episode flashed to the scene of Janet and Kristen’s conversation. The two were friends over the years until drama pushed them apart.
Scheana still hopes for Kristen and Janet’s friendship. Janet said that the “ball’s in her court.” Meanwhile, Kristen told co-star Nia Booko that the “ball’s in both of their courts.” The two aren’t still close to this day, but Kristen admitted that she feels “safe” about that decision.

What Went Wrong?
Janet and Kristen’s friendship became strained for a reason. Janet noticed that Kristen was having problems in her relationship with Luke Broderick. As outrageous as it sounds, she didn’t want to be there for her friend in the most difficult time of her life. Kristen claimed that Janet wanted to push this “crazy Kristen narrative” because she was portrayed that way on Pump Rules.
Scheana thought it was uncalled for when Kristen said on her podcast that she’s “so much better” than Janet. However, Kristen stands by what she said. “I’m so much better than her,” she added. Kristen explained that she was better than those who put her down. As for their feud, it’s ongoing. “I 100% do not trust her. Not an ounce,” Kristen said.
The Valley Season 2 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes stream the following day on Peacock.
