Season 2 of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is on. The Hulu docuseries was renewed after smashing records on the streaming service. It’s even outpacing the current season of The Kardashians.
More MomTok Drama Coming
The success of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives lends to the ever-growing interest in MomTok. The show exposes the cast’s “group chat,” where they admit to “soft swinging.” Fans couldn’t get enough, and the show became a ratings juggernaut.
On Thursday, October 3, Hulu confirmed that the series was renewed for another season. The pilot became the most-watched unscripted season premiere on the streaming service.
The first season dropped in September. It followed up after Taylor Frankie Paul’s claims that she and her now ex-husband, Tate, were “soft swinging” with other couples. This racy reveal was unknown in Mormonism.
The cast includes Paul, Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, and Mikayla Matthews. Whitney previously shared she was leaving the MomTok group. However, she teased her return to Season 2 of the hit series.
What to Expect in Season 2?
There are doubts over whether the entire cast will return. Jen Affleck was mostly absent from MomTok after the show premiered. On the show, she talked about her marital problems with Zac. He was outraged when he learned that she watched the Chippendales with her friends.
Zac threatened to divorce her. He also didn’t want her associated with the show and with MomTok. This brought up concerns about her volatile marriage. Despite their issues, an insider told People that Jen is back in Utah. It’s unclear whether she’s filming for the series.
Jen and Zac sold their home in Utah. They may be moving away from the lifestyle that brought them attention. Season 2 could focus on Jen and Zac’s marriage if they return.
Meanwhile, Taylor could address the status of her relationship with Dakota. Secret Lives fans also want to see Whitney fully embrace her villain era after waffling on TikTok. Her marriage also became the topic of conversation when her husband Connor seemingly popped up on Tinder.
In Season 2, Jenna Jarvis could possibly join the MomTok group chat. She was the other woman in Dakota’s life, and she could wait for the new season to share her side of the story.
The new season will start filming soon. What would you like to see happen? Let us know in the comment section.
