Joan Vassos’ journey to love on the Golden Bachelorette has had its share of ups and downs. There were twists and turns along the way that left fans on the edge of their seats. One of the men in the final three is Chock Chapple.
He seemed like a strong contender from the start. Joan and Chock first connected during their Disneyland date. The sparks haven’t gone out yet. However, there could be a twist that makes Chock look more like the villain in disguise.
In the preview for the Wednesday, October 30 episode of ABC’s dating series, Chock says he’s not feeling love for Joan. In another scene, Joan appears to be in distress. She gets whisked away from Pascal Ibgui, who shoos away the cameras. (Find Out How Pascal Could Become The Hero.)
Joan assumed that she would’ve fallen in love by now. She probably thought Chock was one of those men. But it looks like he has a change of heart. He appeared cold and distant in the preview. Of course, this could be the producer’s editing that makes it appear this way.
Bachelor Nation fans wonder if Chock will lose interest in Joan. Remember there are lapses between the time of filming at the mansion and the time of the hometown dates. During the week of the fantasy suite dates, Chock might realize that he no longer has feelings for Joan.
He might not be over his late fiancée and often talks about her. Joan mentioned she’s not over her late husband, which is one of the many things they bonded over.
Joan relates to Chock’s grief. But the loss of his mother might reveal that he’s not ready to move on. Does that necessarily make him a villain? That’s up for the fans to decide.
Chock seemed like the perfect match from the start. He even returned to the mansion to fight for Joan’s affection. This shocking twist could paint him in a negative light. Some fans saw red flags when Chock seemed confident about his connection with Joan.
