Pascal Ibgui is one of the most interesting contestants on The Golden Bachelorette. He’s not like the other men vying for Joan Vassos’s heart. Pascal is a heartbreaker and bad boy, but there’s a plot twist that could give him leading man material.

Who is Pascal Ibgui?

During the show’s premiere, most Bachelor Nation fans referred to Ibgui as the “French man.” The 69-year-old is a salon owner from Glencoe, Illinois. He was one of the 24 men who competed in the inaugural season of the dating competition.

At first, it seemed like Pascal was going to be the villain of the mansion. He revealed that he’s high-maintenance because of his luxury lifestyle. He never cooked, cleaned, or ironed a day in his life. Pascal had Gregg Lassen do his laundry for him to apologize for keeping him up with his snoring.

However, Pascal has a soft side. According to his biography, he enjoys spending time with his grandson at the aquarium. Pascal introduced Joan to his family during the hometown dates. The resident bad boy of the mansion made it this far.

What Could Happen Next

At the end of Wednesday’s episode, Joan picked Pascal, Chock Chapple, and Guy Gansert as her final three. She announced they were heading to Tahiti for the Fantasy Suites. ABC unveiled the teaser for the Fantasy Suite Dates.

So far, this season has been somewhat drama-free. However, things will change when they arrive in Tahiti. A tear-filled Joan tells producers that one man said he loved her and took it back. In another scene, Pascal shooed the cameras away.

In his confessional interview, Pascal suggested that Joan was not happy. The producers asked him how he felt, and he angrily responded, “No, I am not happy.” The editing makes Pascal look bad at first. However, it’s likely Pascal defended Joan’s conflicted feelings.

She struggled to open her heart during her second journey for love, and someone could get hurt. Chock and Guy had already revealed that they were falling for Joan. One of them might’ve had words for Joan, which could’ve angered Pascal.

He’s the only man out of the three who’s looking for a companion. Pascal’s afraid to love again because he was hurt in the past. So, he respects where Joan’s head is at.

Pascal is the type of man Joan needs. He can offer her a fun and exciting life. Plus, he’s not looking for commitment. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comment section.
