Fans were recently treated to a teaser about Doctor Odyssey’s two-part “Shark Attack!” event. A new trailer reveals that the love triangle is about to get even more crowded. Tensions will rise among Avery, Max, and Tristan.

Love Pentagon

The trio will continue to navigate the aftermath of their threesome, which resulted in a pregnancy. The trailer shows Max (Joshua Jackson) and Tristan (Sean Teale) getting close to other people. Tristan hits the surf with First Officer Spencer Monroe (Marcus Emanuel Mitchell). Their beach day comes to an end when there’s a shark lurking nearby.

Tristan looks concerned about losing his good friend. There’s also the ongoing online theory that Tristan could be bisexual, adding another layer to this love triangle. Meanwhile, Max plays off-duty with a new doctor who goes by the name Dr. Brooke Lane (Adrianne Palicki). Avery knocks on Max’s door only to discover Brooke wrapped in a towel. She looks at Max and says, “Wow.” Brooke previously warned her that she can be “very territorial” and “hold grudges” by using shark euphemisms.

Shark-Infested Waters

It’s not just the drama that’s crowding the cruise. The Odyssey is headed for shark-infested waters. The cruise received a mayday call due to a nearby boat that “is going under quickly, and there are sharks in the water.” Captain Robert Massey (Don Johnson) has to figure out what they’re going to do next. The crew members rescue the stranded passengers onto their raft.

However, the Captain realizes they could be next. “What is that noise?” Max asks. He looks down at the water as a shark is headed for him. The trailer cuts to another scene. “It’s going to be okay; nothing ever bad happens on the Odyssey, right?” Avery assures a patient with a smile on her face.

There’s another theory that the show is all a dream. The producers incororated that Easter egg by including a remix of the classic song, “Sh-Boom (Life Could Be a Dream).” Of course, the medical drama will feature weekly guest stars like Ava Phillippe, Charlotte Lawrence, Paris Jackson, and Rumer Willis. Doctor Odyssey returns on Thursday, March 6 at 9 p.m. EST. New episodes stream the following day on Disney Plus.
