Kelly Ripa is considering a significant life change. She shared that she wants to return to college after dropping out for a role on All My Children. Soap fans would agree that Ripa made the right call at the time. However, some part of her still wished she had gone to college.
College Ambitions
On a recent episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, Ripa shared with her husband Mark Consuelos that their kids inspired her to go back to college. The couple has three kids: sons Michael and Joaquin and daughter Lola. Ripa will be attending one of her sons’ college graduations this year. She revealed that he will be graduating from the University of Michigan.
“We keep begging him to go to grad school,” Ripa shared on the Thursday, April 17 episode of Live, reports People. The proud parents were shocked that their son was already graduating. Ripa admitted her regret about dropping out of Camden County Community College in New Jersey. She went on to pursue her role as Hayley Vaughan on All My Children.
Ripa expressed an interest in returning to college. Consuelos is on board with the idea. He told Ripa that she should go to school while their son is out. “Now that he’s going to be out, you should go to school, and he won’t be weirded out by his mom being in class,” Consuelos joked.

Ripa admitted that she always wanted to attend “a four-year university.” But she didn’t know what major she wanted to pursue. “What? I don’t know. I should go into broadcast — that’s an easy A. I’ll take an easy A. I’ll go into communications!” she exclaimed.
Consuelos said she would pass with flying colors. Ripa joked that she “probably wouldn’t” because they learned on the talk show “probably what they teach not to do.” One time, she attended the University of Michigan. However, she wants to go in a different direction. Ripa could see herself studying writing or psychology and becoming an adjunct professor.
