All My Children alums Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos love getting silly on their daytimetalk show. The soap alum shocked fans and her husband when she underwent a Hollywood transformation. Ripa looked just like Wicked star Ariana Grande.
Oscar Ready
Like most people, Ripa and Consuelos are getting ready for the Oscars this Sunday. The couple will host their annual “After the Oscars Show,” reports PEOPLE. Ripa gave her husband a shock when she transformed herself into Wicked star Ariana Grande. She underwent a transformation that involved elaborate costuming, hair, and makeup. Consuelos had to do a double take.
“I was like, ‘What?! I’m not prepared for this,” Ripa’s husband said. “And she completely fooled me because when I grabbed the phone, I truly thought that was Grande.” When Ripa spoke, Consuelos’ expression changed. Consuelos called Ripa’s transformation “freaky.” He wasn’t the only one that she fooled.
“I FaceTime’d my daughter and her best friend while I was in costume and fooled both of them, too,” Ripa said, referring to her daughter, Lola Consuelos. “It was great.” She bared an uncanny resemblance to Grande. Hollywood makeup artist Kristofer Buckle and hairstylist Ryan Trygstad was responsible for her shocking transformation. They recreated the singer’s look from the film adaptation of the popular Broadway show.

Take A Trip To Oz
Ripa shared the video on Instagram. She looked like the 31-year-old, complete with blonde hair and dimples. Ripa referred to herself as “Kel-linda.” Consuelos commented on Ripa’s Reel, writing, “This is some wizard s##t.” Fans were freaked out as well. Some of the comments were mixed. “Yikes!!” one scared fan wrote, while another added, “Hideous!”
However, there were other fans who were on board with it. One user wrote, “U look fabulous!” while another exclaimed, “OMG! AMAZING TRANSFORMATION!” One fan noted that Ripa had “the most ripped Ga-Linda arms ever.” Over all, most fans were stunned by Ripa’s transformation. It helped bring the Oscar buzz.
