All My Children alums Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who portrayed Hayley and Mateo on the soap, shared the devastating loss of their dog Chewie on the February 5th episode of Live With Kelly and Mark.
Tearful Goodbye
On the talk show, Consuelos took the lead on recounting what happened while Ripa was barely able to speak and wiped away tears. Both Consuelos and Ripa mentioned that this was the first huge loss they had because both sets of their parents are still alive. The pair reminisced about how all three of their children—Michael, Lola and Joaquin—all grew up with Chewie.
