The Kelly Clarkson Show is returning this September. Season 7 finally has a premiere date. The eponymous daytime talk show also has some big names in its guest roster.
Premiere Date Revealed
On Wednesday, September 3, Deadline broke the news that Season 7 of The Kelly Clarkson Show will premiere on Monday, September 29, according to NBCUniversal. Production for the talk show will begin on Monday, September 8. As viewers already know, episodes are pre-taped.
The show is filmed in front of a live studio audience in New York City. Tickets are available now on the show’s official website. During premiere week, Clarkson will focus on the heroes who rescued the campers from the July Texas floods. At the time, she was slated to perform at Miranda Lambert’s Texas flood relief benefit concert in August, but canceled her performance following the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
Celebrity Guests
Big names will be headlining the seventh season. Some of those names include Julia Roberts, Sylvester Stallone, Reese Witherspoon, Margot Robbie, Dwayne Johnson, Scarlett Johansson, Matthew McConaughey, Lionel Richie, Colin Farrell, Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Shonda Rhimes, and others.
Busy Fall Season
This fall also sparks the return of Clarkson on the 29th season of NBC’s The Voice. According to an August 19th report via Deadline, she will reunite with John Legend and Adam Levine, where the “powerhouse coaches who form the only panel in the show’s history comprised entirely of Voice winners,” according to the show’s press release.
Earlier this year, Clarkson took a hiatus from the show and canceled the August dates of her Las Vegas residency. She intended to be “fully present” for her two children, whom she shares with Blackstock.
The Kelly Clarkson Show is nominated for eight Daytime Emmy Awards this year, including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host. The Daytime Emmy Awards take place on October 17.
