Kelly Clarkson was ecstatic to get back on stage again. She performed in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, May 9. Unfortunately, Clarkson can’t tour due to her grueling daytime schedule.
Bummed But Happy
Clarkson is making a quiet return to music. She dropped a new song titled, “Where Have You Been.” The music video premiered on The Kelly Clarkson Show. In the meantime, the busy mom managed to perform again. She told the audience that she couldn’t take on a full tour due to juggling motherhood and a daytime talk show.

“We haven’t done a show in a while, y’all, ’cause I have a talk show. It’s like a whole other job,” Clarkson told the crowd, reports Page Six. Despite the struggles, she was “so happy” to be back on the stage. “We are bummed ’cause we love doing shows, and it’s hard to fit in, so it’s cool when it does work out with the schedule,” she said, referring to her band.
Clarkson thanked the audience for “having so much energy.” The American Idol alum soaked in that energy during her 90-minute show. She performed some of her hit songs, including “Because Of You,” “Miss Independent,” “My Life Would Suck Without You,” and “Since U Been Gone.”

Quitting Talk Show?
Clarkson’s performance comes amid the rumors that she might quit her talk show after the contract ends. Viewers were concerned when she was mysteriously absent for two weeks. Clarkson cited “personal reasons” for her hiatus. In March, the show celebrated its 1,000th episode.
An alleged source close to the show told Page Six that Clarkson is considering ending her talk show. “Kelly’s number one priority is her children, and they always will be. The show is grueling. It’s a whole lot of work, and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.” Executives are looking for a possible replacement, according to The Post.
