Lee and Lucas teamed up during the Season 12 premiere of When Calls the Heart. Lee received an offer from the Governor of Hope Valley, which he couldn’t turn down. Lucas wants Lee to help him build his dream park. However, the two men could butt heads later this season.
Smith Teases Lee’s Storyline
New details keep coming out from the Hallmark Christmas Experience, which took place in Kansas City last month. During one panel, Smith addressed his character’s future on the show. He will return for future episodes. He also has an interesting storyline that’s coming up this season.
The WCTH Instagram account shared a clip from Smith’s panel. He teased that Lee (Smith) and Lucas (Chris McNally) will “get tested a little bit.” Smith look forward to filming with McNally on the show.
“When it was pitched to me… I loved the idea,” Smith exclaimed. “We have some episodes coming up that are going to be really fun. And a little tempestuous.”
It was previously assumed that Lee was leaving Hope Valley at the start of Season 12. But he will return later this season. His friendship with Lucas will come to a head. The two will have to decide what’s more important: following their dreams or keeping their friendship.
