Ryan Murphy put his own twist on the primetime soap. Some of your favorite soap stars are even in the new sudser. Don’t blink, or you’ll miss them. Most of the actors are in the first episode, which premiered on Thursday, September 26.
ABC re-aired the pilot on Wednesday, October 2, following The Golden Bachelorette. Guest stars in the pilot episode include One Life to Live alum Laura Herrier and General Hospital alum John Stamos. So far, the show’s guest stars and weekly themes are being kept under wraps.

Breaking New Records
The series started strong. It attracted 4.2 million viewers during the premiere. There was increasing interest in the show due to the trailer, which went viral on TikTok. What also helped is that it aired between 9-1-1 and Grey’s Anatomy. Deadline reported that the premiere episode racked up 13.6 million views in its first week across all platforms, including Disney+ and Hulu.
It’s rare for most pilot episodes to reach 10 million views within the first week. This marks the cruise drama as ABC’s best premiere in four years. On the first day of its release, the show already hit No. 1 on Hulu’s Top 15 Today list. It’s remained there ever since.
