Hannah Ferrier and Captain Sandy Yawn butted heads on Below Deck Mediterranean. Their relationship came to a head in Season 5. Their working relationship was so volatile that Hannah had a prescription for anxiety medication. Captain Sandy fired Hannah for having Valium and a CBD pen, which were unregistered. After years of feuding, the two have reconciled and are reuniting.
Below Deck Med Reunion
A Below Deck Med reunion is in the works. Us Weekly first reported the details about what the two yachties have planned. Sandy and Hannah discussed their plans to reunite for Cruises Live, a new event hosted by City Cruises. “It’s just a perfect alignment, and when that happens, that’s when the doors open. I always say that if a door of opportunity opens, walk through it because you can always walk back out the door,” Sandy explained.
“It felt really serendipitous and like it was meant to be,” Hannah agreed. “So, I’m really excited.” This reunion may come as a surprise to fans of the show. The two were in a public feud for years, which dragged on in the media. Sandy and Hannah haven’t gotten along since 2017.
In 2020, Hannah exited Below Deck Med. Her life has changed for the better. She welcomed her first child, Ava Grace Roberts, with her husband, Josh Roberts. “I’m in such a calmer and better place in my life now. My daughter has grounded me a lot, and I’m just in a very different place than I was 10 years ago when I started on Below Deck,” Hannah said.

No More Drama
Sandy and Hannah have different work styles. However, they’re both positive people. Both of them wanted to drop the drama and repair their relationship. “There’s so much turmoil in the world. So much is fueled by hatred. By just sitting down with Sandy for a few hours and just having a really good honest chat was so cathartic and healing,” Hannah shared.
She’s a motivational speaker when Sandy isn’t working in yachting. She shares her experience with alcoholism to inspire others to quit drinking. The fans will now see both ladies during this new event. They will also get to ask questions about their relationship.
“I think 99 percent of Bravo fans don’t actually know that we message and we talk and we’ve had that chat and come to a place of peace,” Hannah noted. Their executive producer brought them back together. He came up with the idea, along with the fanbase. Also, the lack of cameras was a plus.
“It was just two women sitting down and being really open and really honest. I learned so much about Sandy’s side of things. She learned about my side of things,” Hannah explained. Sandy also wanted to share her perspective on the show. This live event is a genuine moment between two people being authentic. City Cruises is currently offering tickets for three-hour dining and cruise sightseeing packages.
