The Valley is a grown-up version of Vanderpump Rules. Bravo fans know former cast members Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, and Brittany Cartwright. The first season became a smash hit, and fans can’t get enough. This new reality series is like a soap opera in that it tackles serious issues such as divorce, infidelity, family matters, and mental health. Bravo unleashed the trailer for Season 2, which shows some of the couples spiraling.
Brittany and Jax’s Divorce Drama
The trailer starts off on a good note. Luke Broderick popped the question to Kristen Doute. The two are engaged and expecting their first baby together. Jax tells Jesse Lally that he didn’t expect the couple to have the “best relationship” out of their friend group. Luke and Kristen are still going strong despite dealing with drama in San Fernando Valley.
Meanwhile, Brittany spills tea on her marriage to Jax. She tells her friend that he’s been sleeping with other women. In fact, he brought one of the women over to their house. Brittany found a random woman’s thong on her bathroom sink. In another scene, it looks like she’s attending a divorce party. Brittany is officially single and ready to mingle.
Fan favorites Nia and Danny Booko are back. In one scene, Danny admits to getting Botox on his private parts. But that’s nothing compared to the secret drama that’s brewing. Jax enters rehab while filming. Brittany finds out that he hired people to watch her while he’s gone.
Meanwhile, Jesse learns that Michelle Lally cheated on him. He’s dealing with the aftermath of their divorce. But they’re not the only couple questioning their marriage. Janet and Jason Caperna are dealing with accusations. Janet learns that her husband removes his wedding ring when he goes out with the guys. In one scene, Janet accuses Nia’s husband, Danny, of getting “handsy” with other women.
Familiar Faces
There are also some familiar faces in Season 2. Vanderpump Rules alum Lala Kent will return as a “Friend” of the cast. She doesn’t seem so friendly, though. In one scene, she’s quick to label Jesse a “narcissist.” In another scene, Jax talks to his friend Tom Schwartz about his marriage.
He admits he’s a “terrible husband” but still a “great father.” Schwartz looks away and just says, “Yeah.” He doesn’t seem too sure about that. Bravo TV’s official synopsis states, “Chaos ensues as Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and the rest of the group deal with the fallout of long-term relationships dissolving and the rumor mill continuing to run.”
The Valley Season 2 premieres on Tuesday, April 15, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes stream the following day on Hulu.
