By Week 2 of Dancing with the Stars, Danielle Fishel had a gruesome leg injury. She’s been sharing updates on social media. She shared that she’s not letting it get her down.

Keep On Dancing

Fishel prepared for Week 3 of DWTS. She posted a video on Instagram showing a massive bruise on the back of her thigh. The Girl Meets World star remained unbothered by the injury.

In the video, Fishel shared how she motivates her legs. “How I talk to my knees after 4 weeks of rehearsals and 2 live shows,” she captioned the post, which showed her lip-syncing to Destiny’s Child’s song “Cater 2 U.”

Fishel mouths the words, “Baby, I see you working hard, wanna let you know I’m proud, let you know that I admire what you do, don’t know if I need to reassure you, my life would be purposeless without you.”

The injury looks painful. However, Fishel revealed in the caption that her “leg feels better than it looks.” It will take time to heal. The former child star is grateful for body makeup. (Could this DWTS fan favorite become ABC’s next Bachelor?)

Gimme Gimme More

Fishel wants more. In another Instagram video with her partner, Pasha Pashkov, they responded to the rumors that she was leaving the competition. The overlay reads: “We’re giving up dancing forever!”

Pashkov took a permanent marker and put a period after “We’re giving up. Dancing forever!” They danced away to the “Gimme More” remix, which featured Britney Spears and ABBA. Pashkov wrote in the caption: “Even all the KT tape can’t stop us!!! 😅”

Listen to the Doctor?

Health experts who haven’t treated Fishel spoke to The Daily Mail about Fishel’s injury. They advised her to seek medical treatment and take it easy if she doesn’t want long-term effects.

One of those doctors is Dr. Castel Santana, who stated that hamstring tears can lead to chronic hamstring tendinopathy if left untreated. According to the report, it could cause pain, muscle weakness, and difficulty walking.

Dr. Cas said that Fishel should quit the show. “The key is progressive rehabilitation rather than rushing back to full performance. Proper physical therapy with strengthening, mobility work, and core or glute activation helps stabilize the hamstring and prevent injury,” he added.

Fishel said on the show that she went to the doctor to see if she needed treatment or surgery. Her doctor gave her the clear to go. She will also follow a rehabilitation program, similar to the one outlined by Dr. Cas. (Learn more about the DWTS 2025 cast, which also includes gymnast Jordan Chiles.)
