Actress Cindy Busby opened up about the Season 2 finale of When Hope Calls that has Hopefuls buzzing. Busby revealed what it’s in store for her character, Nora. She also talked about the possibiity of the spinoff crossing paths with the original series, When Calls the Heart.
Nora’s Legal Issues
Busby talked about her onscreen alter-ego, Nora, who’s dealing with legal trouble. This could impact everything in her life, including her love life. Her relationship with Mountie Michael Fletcher (Christopher Russell) could come to an end. Their relationship has been unfolding since Season 1, which was six years ago. “It’s going to put a barrier between her and Michael, and will cause a lot of fear. What if he finds out? What’s gonna happen? Am I going to jail?” Busby told Soaps.com.

Things have changed for Nora ever since she returned to Brookfield. She used to live a simpler life. But new challenges will pop up in Season 3. In the Season 2 finale, Nora’s assistant, Zoe (Kyana Teresa), told her that she helped another lawyer at their firm bribe a judge in exchange for positive rulings. Nora won of those cases. Bubsy mused, “I see that storyline not going well,” moving forward.
WCTH Crossover
Nora might need to find a new man. Busby believes that someone from WCTH should make a cameo since they’re in the same timeline. “Maybe a Mountie. I mean, I did a movie years ago with Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant). He’s such a great guy. We laugh all the time. He’s just funny. It’d be fun to get to work with him again, so I could see that for sure,” Busby gushed.
She’s holding out hope that the shows could make it work. “Fingers crossed that maybe something like that could happen,” Busby teased.
