Bachelor in Paradise does not fail to bring the drama. This week had plenty of it, and that was without any newcomers to the beach. Currently, it is Jeremy versus Brian. Who will win?
Brian’s Side
Feelings about Brian Autz, the 34-year-old aesthetics consultant from Florida, are mixed. He seems committed to Parisa Shifteh, but is he? She has definitely fallen for him, but sometimes it feels like he is keeping her at arm’s length. Time will tell.
Brian has been holding in some information for a few weeks now, and he finally let it out. He (and most of the BIP cast) knew that Jeremy Simon was not exactly all in with Bailey Brown. In fact, he regretted giving her his rose in week 2 so much that he called Susie Evans and asked her to come back. She declined. A few episodes later, he doubled down on Susie and said if she came back, he would “propose to her on the spot”.
Brian believed that Bailey should have this information before she got in deeper with Jeremy (or possibly he just wanted more airtime, who knows). He seized an opportunity to be alone with her and spilled the beans. Bailey was understandably upset and confronted Jeremy, who convinced her that he no longer felt that way and that he was “there for her.”
Bailey should have had all the information on the man she was involved with. Everyone else knew, and it was going to be on TV, but most of the cast turned on Brian for filling her in. Wells, the Bartender, was the only one who defended him on camera.
Jeremy’s Side
Jeremy looks a bit like the villain of season 10. He was very vocal about being open to new people during the first few episodes, after he was with Bailey. Then there was the Susie debacle, and not being honest with Bailey about it.
On the other hand, he seemed to change in more recent episodes. He and Bailey got closer, and he appeared to be more committed to her. Things were moving in the right direction, and they became a strong couple. But it is Paradise, so he could have only wanted to stay on the beach longer, and don’t forget the possibility of winning $500,000.
He was kind of blindsided when Brian told Bailey what he had said and done. Brian could have warned him and let him be the one to tell her the truth. Most of the beach has taken his side and believes that Brian violated “bro code”. He and Parisa were almost voted off, but because they weren’t, more drama will ensue next week.
