For the second time in less than a year, a man has been arrested after breaking into Taylor Swift’s apartment.
The man, Roger Alvarado, was arrested on Thursday, March 7 at 2:45 a.m. after he broke into her New York City apartment.
According to police he reportedly climbed onto the second-floor balcony and used a brick to break the window.
Thankfully her alarm system immediately went off and the police arrived in time to arrest him. Swift was also not home during the break-in.
Alvarado has been charged with burglary, criminal contempt, criminal mischief, and possession of burglar tools.
He was also arrested for breaking into her apartment back in April.
This also comes just a couple of days after Swift opened up in Elle magazine about having to deal with stalkers.
“I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn’t know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months. There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe,” she wrote.
“My fear of violence has continued into my personal life. I carry QuikClot army grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds.”
She continued, “Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online. You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things.”
We are so happy to hear Swift wasn’t home during the intrusion.
