Lori Loughlin College Scam
Lori Loughlin is not going down without a fight. The Fuller House actress and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have pleaded not guilty to the charges related to their college bribery scandal.
The couple entered their plea on Monday, April 15. Both Loughlin and Giannulli have been charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, as well as conspiracy to commit money laundering. They have entered their not guilty plea to all of the charges that have been leveled against them.
According to TMZ, they did not enter their plea in person. Instead, their attorneys entered the plea for them. If they are found guilty, they face a minimum of 4 years and 9 months in prison.
They have not released a statement regarding the charges, but this does come just a few days after actress Felicity Huffman pleaded guilty to her charges. She faces a minimum of four months in prison.
While Huffman reportedly paid $15,000 to have somebody take her daughter’s SAT, Loughlin and Giannulli allegedly paid $500,000 so their two daughters would be accepted to the University of Southern California.
The past few months have been difficult for Loughlin, as she has been fired from her Hallmark show, When Calls the Heart, as well as the Netflix show Fuller House. Loughlin and her husband appeared in court in Boston at the beginning of the month, but they did not enter their pleas at that time.
