Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino) made a big change in the Law & Order: SVU Season 21 premiere, leaving the NYPD special victims unit in order to become an assistant district attorney. Though the new role is difficult in terms of maintaining his relationships with his former colleagues, he is quite good at his job.
In this video from last week’s episode, Carisi and Fin (Ice-T), interrogate one of Raegan’s accused attackers. “No, you didn’t touch her at all? You didn’t at least cop a feel?” Carisi asks him.
When Nick shares his side of the story and maintains his innocence, Carisi reveals he believes him and wants him to write out his statement. He may be the new ADA, but Sonny Carisi still knows how to use his investigative skills.
“You know what Nick, I believe you. You’re the good guy here. I’m just gonna need you to write out a statement. Okay? Everything you just said,” Carisi tells him. Watch the clip above to see how the whole scene plays out.
