Ingo Rademacher is best known for starring as Jasper “Jax” Jacks on General Hospital, but the actor has also made waves on The Bold and the Beautiful as Thorne Forrester.

Along with his work on soaps, the actor has appeared on shows such as Clueless, Titans, and According to Jim. From where he was born and raised to competing on a reality show, here are five fast facts you need to know about the actor!

Who Is Ingo Rademacher?

Rademacher was born on April 22 in Iserlohn, West Germany and is the son of Raswitha and Arndt Rademacher. When he was just 10 years old. his family packed up and moved to Australia, which is where he grew up. He also started acting while in Australia and decided to move to Los Angeles after snagging some guest-starring roles.

Athletic Kid

While the acting bug eventually bit as he got older, Rademacher was a very athletic child. He was a skiing champion at just the age of 8, and once his family moved to Australia, he became involved in water sports. In fact, he started competing in paddleboard competitions and still does it to this day!

Shake Your Groove Thing

Years after landing his role on General Hospital, Rademacher was cast on Season 16 of Dancing With the Stars with partner Kym Johnson. The actor landed in fifth place, losing to the eventual winner, country singer Kellie Pickler.

Two Characters, One Show

Ingo Rademacher has appeared on various television shows throughout his career, including Hawaii Five-O. In fact, he has appeared on the show as two different characters. First, he was Malcolm Schafer in 2011, but he returned in 2016 for three episodes as Robert Coughlin.

Getting Personal With Ingo Rademacher

Rademacher previously dated his General Hospital co-star, Rebecca Herbst, in the late 90s. He then started dating his current wife, Ehiku Rademacher, in the mid-2000s and they had a son together in 2008 named Peanut Kai.

The couple officially tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their second son in 2012 named Pohaku Zen. Rademacher just shared a photo on Instagram celebrating the couple’s 10-year wedding anniversary.
