Law & Order: SVU Olivia Benson
The detectives on Law & Order: SVU have to do difficult work each and every day, but they do get to bring relief and happiness at times to families that are struggling. This was one of those times.
Such is the case in this flashback video in which Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is able to reunite foreign exchange students Emilia (Anna Van Patten) and Lara (Isabella Pisacane) with their mom.
Lara, clearly nervous about seeing her mother after realizing her father didn’t actually sexually assault her, asks Benson what’s going to happen next. “Well our ADA has contacted the Military of Justice in Italy and they’re working on getting your father out of prison,” Benson says.
“I don’t think I can do this,” a nervous Laura says as her mother walks in the door. “Yes, you can,” Benson insists. “Yes, you can.” Watch the entire emotional scene in the clip above!
