Many famous people have been offered the role of Bachelor or Bachelorette, and it sounds like Ivanka Trump could’ve been one of them!
Now she’s married to Jared Kushner and they have three children together, but in a 2007 interview, Ivanka reveals she considered the role.
“I’ve been offered tons of shows, [including] The Bachelorette,” she told People at the time.
She continued, “I’m flattered, but that in no way furthers my objective of being a great real estate developer.”
She later married Jared Kushner in October 2009.
She’s not the only celebrity to be offered the leading role in the past. In fact, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak once revealed she was also offered the gig.
“I was asked to do ‘The Bachelorette,’ you know that? Probably, like, many years ago,” she said on Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop podcast.
“I was in talks with them, oh God, probably 14 years ago. It was a long, long time ago because [my daughter] Ariana was probably like a year or two old.”
She continued, “I don’t even know how that started ’cause I wasn’t filming or doing anything … I guess a couple of people that I knew had kind of tried to align that.”
Though Kim didn’t end up taking the job, she wouldn’t mind if her daughter Brielle did in the future!
“It’d be so great. Brielle actually has a huge offer going on and a similar situation possibly, and I just want Brielle to do what makes her happy,” Kim expressed.
“I feel like you’re only 21 once. I look in the mirror, I’m 40 years old. It’s like, holy s—t, I’m 40. I want her to live her life.”
