Grey’s Anatomy Flashback: Meredith Talks About Derek’s Special Blanket

Meredith Grey has been through a lot in her life and yet she is still one of the strongest characters on Grey’s Anatomy, but the death of Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) nearly broke her.

In this flashback video, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) leans on her good pal, Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), and confides in him a story about one of Derek’s most prized possessions.

“This was Derek’s blanket. I always hated this stupid thing. It’s not soft, it’s not warm, it’s not a great color. He had it in the trailer, he brought it here, made it to the dream house with us.
