Grey's Anatomy Alex and Meredith
Meredith Grey had a very difficult time following the death of Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) on Grey’s Anatomy, but she found herself feeling his presence when she needed him the most.
In this flashback video from Season 12, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) goes to the chapel in the hospital, but not to pray. “I’m talking to Derek,” she tells Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) when he joins her.
Meredith reveals she’s struggling with teaching Penny Blake (Samantha Sloyan), the new resident who is dating Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and needs some advice.
“I’m trying. I’ve tried to rise, I’ve tried to teach her, but I just don’t think I can. I thought he might know what I’m supposed to do with her, why she’s here. I thought maybe he could tell me,” she reveals. Watch the clip above to see Meredith’s emotional moment.
