This week’s episode of Game of Thrones had everything that makes a television show great — fire, explosions, deaths, and surprises. Though the penultimate episode has some fans scratching their heads, there’s no denying the episode was expertly shot and edited to perfection.
In a new behind-the-scenes video, the producers, special effects coordinators, makeup artists, and production designers take fans inside the jaw-dropping episode. Not only did they create these massive set pieces, but they also burned an entire village and used green screens to pull off the impossible.
Find out why they did what they did with Arya (Maisie Williams) running from the dragon fire and also how actress Lena Headey (Cersei) felt about her final moments. Watch the video above to see how it was all done and get ready for the epic series finale on Sunday, May 19!
