Former NCIS Star Pauley Perrette Conquers Fear To Help The Homeless

Contrary to what some may believe, it does rain in Southern California and upcoming inclement weather has prompted former NCIS star, Pauley Perrette, to take action in order to help the homeless.

“It’s gonna rain in LA and in spite of my HUGE FEAR (almost killed by a homeless guy) I brought blankets and raincoats to my ‘front yard,” Perrette tweeted. She took lawmakers to task for what she feels is a lack of action on their parts regarding the homelessness crisis in California that’s been described by PBSSoCal as “epidemic.”

“SERIOUSLY?!? Could you live like me or them? @GavinNewsom @ericgarcetti @davideryu @JoeBiden That’s our “FRONT YARD”! I love y’all but SERIOUSLY.”

The actress’s fans are applauding the star of the upcoming series Broke for her charitable actions. “Thank you for all you do for those less fortunate!” wrote Karen Light @Kernnin. “Everytime my 5 year old Granddaughter sees you she says she wants to be like you when she grows up, she wants to help people and animals and be good just like You! We Love you Pauley!!”

“Anyone can be a single paycheck away from this,” posted Emma Stapleton @Kallypants. “Zero hour contracts, medical bills, anything. These poor people are still people like us. Thank you for caring. A lot of other folks would just walk on by.”

“You have done a wonderful, kind and caring act,” wrote Joanne J @Joanne Jones. “It’s a pity more people don’t think like you do. In the UK we buy food an a hot beverage for our homeless. At one time or another we’ve all needed that supporting arm around you are when your low. All the best, your fans in the UK.”

In a follow-up tweet, Perrette reached out to additional individuals and outlets in the media, hoping they’ll take action, do a story on this situation, bringing some awareness and aid to folks in the process.
