The Internet isn’t always the best place to go for advice, but former NCIS star Pauley Perrette decided to take a chance and see if someone amongst her followers could figure out what was going on with her.

Not only did Perrette use Twitter to show off images of her wrist injury, but she also used the platform to ask people if she needed to go to the doctor — talk about crowdsourcing your medical care!

“So… I was standing on a stool trying to open my A/C vent and my hand got caught in the ceiling fan. Slashed my wrist and my hand is red and blue. Ugh,” she wrote alongside a photo of her cut.

“Is there a doc or nurse in the house? My vein swelled up and turned black under the cut to the vein, do I need to go see a doc?” she asked while showing off her growing vein.

Perrette’s Twitter followers shared a myriad of suggestions, but ultimately the 50-year-old decided to go to the hospital and have it checked out. She made sure to update her fans about her decision.

What do you think? Post a comment!

“Went to ER, it’s ugly, but will be ok they say. Probably a wounded vein and hematoma. I’m bandaged up and think it’s gonna be ok. Thanks y’all! Much love! I was scared!” she shared.

While she was sent a lot of love and well-wishes, Perrette also got sent a lot of hate tweets regarding her injury and the fact that she seems to experience mishaps quite a bit.

“Hey haters, yes I’m accident prone! But I install my own lights, I fix my own A/C, I do my own stuff, I’m a rough and tumble Alabama kid who hurts her redneck self sometimes. But not a spoiled brat. I do stuff! On my own! And sometimes get my hand caught in a fan!

“I replaced my faucet and sink, fixed my A/C, installed 29 safety lights, replaced my gate and locks, built my own storage, installed ramps for my wheelchair pals, and everything else. I’m NOT a spoiled celebrity. I’m a redneck that gets s—t done! And yeah, I get injured Worth it.”

After leaving NCIS in 2018, Perrette is currently shooting a new television series called Broke, which is set to premiere later this year.
