Five Fast Facts About Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones

Sansa Stark has not always been everyone’s favorite character on Game of Thrones but over the past eight seasons, most fans have grown to admire her strength and resilience. Not only has she suffered at the hands of both Joffrey Baratheon and Ramsay Bolton, but she also had to deal with several members of her family being murdered.

Despite her hardships, Sansa (Sophie Turner) has been able to come out the other side as the Lady of Winterfell. Here are five fast facts about her!

Naked Truth
The actress was very young in those early seasons. While in the books, Joffrey punishes Sansa for Robb Stark’s victories by having her strip naked, the show had to completely cut that part because Turner was underage. The laws in the UK prohibit any person under the age of consent from doing a nude scene.

Joffrey Death Switch
Joffrey is obviously killed by Olenna Tyrell, but the show ended up switching a big part of his death from what actually happened in the books. In those, the poison was located in Sansa’s hair net, but on the show, the poison was in her necklace.

Like Mother, Like Daughter
While Arya is a lot like her father, Ned Stark, Sansa takes after her mother. Catelyn had a very hard time accepting Jon Snow into their family since she saw him as a bastard, and so Sansa also had a hard time loving her brother.

From Reek to Theon
Sansa has Theon to thank for saving her from Ramsay Bolton, but Theon also has Sansa to thank for reminding him he’s not Reek. If Sansa hadn’t stuck by Theon, he probably would’ve died a lot sooner.

Just Not That Into The Mother of Dragons
A lot of people, including Jon Snow, believe in Daenerys Targaryen and her quest for the Iron Throne but not Sansa. In fact, Sansa is one of the only people who truly doesn’t trust Dany and her plan. It will be interesting to see if Sansa is ultimately right about the Mother of Dragons.
