Wilmer Valderrama has been on our television screens for decades, thanks to his roles in prominent television shows like That ‘70s Show, Yo Momma, Royal Pains, The Ranch, Grey’s Anatomy, and now NCIS.
Though he’s been all over the tabloids, here are five fast facts about the 39-year-old, who plays Special Agent Nicholas Torres on NCIS, that you need to know!
In the Beginning
Despite being born in Miami, Valderrama was actually raised in Venezuela! His family moved there when he was just 3 years old and they didn’t return to the States until he was around 13 or 14 years old.
First Acting Role
His first ever professional acting gig was for a Spanish-language Pacific Bell commercial, which he did when he was a teenager. However, he also acted in school plays before pursuing his career in television.
High School Star
Valderrama actually got his role as Fez in That ‘70s Show when he was in high school! It was only the second show he was ever on. He became hugely popular and was on the show from 1998 to 2006.
Network Switch
Valderrama had a recurring role on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy back in 2016, but his appearance was short lived. In fact, he was killed off after five episodes. But, had he not been killed off the show, he would’ve never gotten his role as Nick Torres on CBS’s NCIS!
High Profile Romances
It’s no secret Valderrama has been in his fair share of public relationships. He famously dated Mandy Moore, but their romance ended in 2002. He then jumped into a relationship with Lindsay Lohan in 2004. He was most recently dating Demi Lovato, but they split back in 2016 after six years together.
