Grace Park is currently starring on ABC’s newest drama, A Million Little Things, as Katherine Kim. However, she has been working in Hollywood for ages and has been a part of some massive television shows, including Hawaii Five-O and Battlestar Galactica.
From where she was raised to her involvement in a scary cult, here are five fast facts about Grace Park!
Dual Citizen
Park was born in Los Angeles, but her family moved to Canada when she was almost 2 years old. She was raised in Vancouver and even graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in psychology.
First Role
Her first major television role was in a Canadian teen soap opera called Edgemont. She played a character named Shannon Ng and was on the show for 69 episodes.
Super Star
Park played Sharon “Boomer” Valerii in the television reboot of Battlestar Galactica from 2004 to 2009, but she has also been a part of a number of Battlestar Galactica spinoffs. She has done both the TV movies and the miniseries.
Adios, Hawaii
After playing Kono Kalakaua on the reboot of Hawaii Five-O for seven seasons, Park abruptly decided to leave the show before Season 8. Though many people believed she decided to leave because she wasn’t being paid enough, Park explained there were a number of reasons she wanted to depart but that pay wasn’t one of them.
Cult Figure
Believe it or not, Park was a former member of an alleged cult called NXIVM. In fact, she was reportedly in videos with the cult’s founder, Keith Raniere. She has since left the controversial group and wasn’t involved in the recent arrests that took place.
