Camilla Luddington has been working in the industry for over a decade, but she is definitely best known for playing Jo Wilson (now Jo Karev) on Grey’s Anatomy. She first joined the show back in Season 9 and instantly became a staple.

Not only is her character married to Alex Karev, one of the biggest characters on the show, she also has a devastating backstory. Believe it or not, Luddington is not American — she’s British! The actress mostly grew up in England, so she has to do an American accent the entire time that she is portraying Jo. But she has spent over a decade living in Pennsylvania, New York, and Los Angeles so that helped.

Luddington first rose to prominence when she landed the role of Kate Middleton in the Lifetime movie, William and Kate: The Movie. The film came out right before Middleton married Prince William, so it was definitely a ratings success.

Grey’s Relationship
No, Luddington is not dating her onscreen husband Justin Chambers, but she is in a relationship with an actor who has been on the show! Her fiancé, Matthew Alan, was on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy back in Season 13.
