DeAnna Pappas is best known for starring on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor and becoming the fourth The Bachelorette back in 2008. Though she didn’t end up with anyone from her time on reality TV, she is still regarded as a great former leading lady.
From where she grew up to who she married in the Bachelor Nation family, here are five fast facts you need to know about DeAnna Pappas.
In The Beginning
Pappas currently lives in Los Angeles, California, but she is definitely a Southern girl at heart. She was born in Marietta, Georgia, where she lived growing up. Sadly her mother passed away from cancer when Pappas was just 12. She attended Georgia Military College and later got her real estate license.
Part of Bachelor History
Before becoming The Bachelorette, Pappas competed on Brad Womack’s first season of The Bachelor back in 2007. She was one of the last two women standing, along with Jenni Croft, but both women were rejected by Womack at the end. This is the one and only time a lead hasn’t ended up with one of their remaining choices.
Talk Show Surprise
After being dumped by Womack on national television, Pappas was invited to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While on the show, DeGeneres revealed to Pappas that she was going to become the next Bachelorette!
Continued In Reality-TV
Following her time on The Bachelorette, Pappas continued a career in reality TV. She became the co-host of Get Married, which was a show about wedding planning, in 2009. She was then on an episode of Oxygen’s show, Bachelorette Party in 2011.
All In The Bachelor Family
Pappas got engaged to Jesse Csincsak on her season of The Bachelorette, but they called off the engagement months later. However, she went on to marry Stephen Stagliano, who is actually the brother of former Bachelorette contestant Michael Stagliano. The couple tied the knot in 2011 and 5-year-old daughter Addison and 3-year-old son Austin.
