Five Fast Facts About Former The Bachelorette Becca Kufrin

Becca Kufrin starred on Arie Luyendyk’s incredible season of The Bachelor and then she became The Bachelorette herself in 2018. Though she’s been through her fair share of ups and downs on reality TV, it finally seems like Kufrin’s in a good place.

From losing somebody very important to her political beliefs, here are five fast facts you need to know about the former star of The Bachelorette, Becca Kufrin.

In the Beginning
Kufrin was born in Benson, Minnesota, but she was raised in Prior Lake, Minnesota. She spent her entire adolescence in Minnesota and even attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, which is where she received her degree in Mass Communications.

Devastating Loss
Kufrin tragically lost her father, Steve Kufrin, to brain cancer when she was just 19 years old. Her mother also had breast cancer, but she was thankfully able to beat the disease.

Bachelor Shocker
While on Arie Luyendyk’s season of The Bachelor, Kufrin got engaged. She and Luyendyk seemed happy, but he decided to call off their engagement in order to pursue a relationship with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham.

Outspoken About Politics
Unlike many other members of Bachelor Nation, Kufrin is not afraid to speak out about politics or her beliefs. She vocally supported Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election and has spoken out about a variety of important issues on her social media pages.

Happily Engaged
After all the drama she went through when she was on The Bachelor, Kufrin became the next woman to star on The Bachelorette and met her perfect match, Garrett Yrigoyen. She and Yrigoyen fell madly in love, got engaged during the finale in 2018, and have been going strong together ever since!
